BLACK AUSTRALORP

LARGE FOWL CREATED IN AUSTRAILIA FROM BLACK ORPINGTONS CROSSED WITH EITHER LEGHORN, LANGSHAN, RHODE ISLAND RED, or PLYMOUTH ROCKS FOR INDUSTRIAL EGG PURPOSES AND ONCE HELD THE WORLD’S RECORD FOR MAKING 364 EGGS IN THE 365-DAY YEAR. 

Australorps are used as utility production but it turned out that they are very friendly, docile, quiet and great with children.  Chicks mature fast and are Black with yellow feathers that will mature to a glossy all-black feathering with a gorgeous green sheen in light. Offspring will breed true to feather colors.
