Indigo Gigante means Giant Indigenous Indians in Portuguese.  Created in Brazil by crossing large breeds of Shamo or Malay with Caipira.  They are the tallest chicken on earth between 3 to 4 feet.  They cannot fly well & prefer the ground. They often have “Perna Bamba” a.k.a. wabbly legs. Add extra calcium at 6-8 weeks of age in their diets to help.
