AYAM CEMANI (Ayam is pronounced in English as "I am")
RAREST CHICKEN BREED ON EARTH
The All-Black Chicken Inside and Out
Sweet, Docile, Calm, Friendly, Great Pets
Please Note: The all black chicken originated in Indonesia and “Ayam” means “Chicken” in their language. It has a black –Gray or black-bluish tongue, mouth, eyes, legs, comb, wattles, meat, bones, and internal organs. The all-blackish coloring is due to a genetic mutation known as dermal hyperpigmentation or fibromelanosis, as do Silkie chickens carry some also. Most will carry only one gene of the Fibromelanosis known as FM1. Very rare and harder to find is when they carry both genes known as FM2.
We cannot guarantee the solid black pigment distribution in any offspring which can revert to the genetics of its relatives, such as the Ayam Kedu, which has red combs and wattles, nor guarantee if sometimes uneven colors may occur as white or brown stray feathers, white toes and/or purple or red comb appears in some offspring.
