WELSUMMER BANTAM

A rare breed with Dutch origins named after the village Welsum, Holland. New to the USA being introduce in early 1900’s and known for their dark reddish speckled eggs. They adapt to their environment very well. A BANTAM is a smaller version of the standard size Rooster which is a beautiful specimen used for the KELLOGG’S® CORN FLAKES cereal box after a Welsummer rooster named CORNELIUS. No two eggs are ever alike, colors ranging from terracotta to mahogany and some with speckles.
