Named after the town Marans, France where they originated. Calm friendly chickens that can be easily trained. Marans tend to lay eggs in colors of brown, dark brown, chocolate, and some with speckles. They can have feathered or clean legs and feet. They all love to forage.
PLEASE NOTE: These Chicks have feathered legs, lay dark brown eggs and will hatch out as BBS which means they may be Blue, Black or even Splash (BBS) and their offspring feather color may not breed true.
