MYSTIC MARAN
Mystic Marans are a sex-linked affordable way to get those Dark Brown colored eggs without breaking the pocket book. Named after the town Marans, France where they originated. Calm friendly chickens that can be easily trained. Marans tend to lay eggs in colors of brown, dark brown, chocolate, and some with speckles. They can have feathered or clean legs and feet. They all love to forage.
Also Known as Majesty Marans, Midnight Marans, and maybe more. They will lay Dark Brown eggs from Caramel to Chocolate. They are a cross between a Barred Rock female and a Copper Maran male. Auto-sexing Ability, you can identify their sex when young, males have white dot on head for barring and females are browner feather colors. As adults the males will be cuckoo feathered and hens will be mostly black with some bronze feathering
PLEASE NOTE: They are usually feathered legged, but some breeders do produce clean legged also.
